So what is Super Colon Cleanse (and for those of you who are wondering what a regular colon cleanse is, as well….) ?
Well, let’s start off by introducing the product first. Super Colon Cleanse is a weight-loss diet supplement marketed as being able to cleanse your body (via cleansing your colon, or large intestine) of harmful substances and bacteria which inhibit your body from shedding weight.
The manufacturers also claim that their supplement provides you with a healthy dose of fiber, which your body needs to shed toxins (and conveniently also gives you the sensation of feeling full, and thus cuts down on unwanted snacking).
But what exactly is a colon cleansing? Well, this involves an enema (yep!) which flushes your colon (large intestine) with liquid so as to clean toxins from your gastrointestinal tract; toxins which many people believe to cause a variety of health problems. However, the truth is that there is very little evidence to support these claims.
Even though medical experts promote colon cleansing for surgeries, they do NOT recommend it for simply cleaning the body. This is for a very simple reason: our digestive systems naturally get rid of bacteria and other unwanted substances; colon cleansing is unnecessary!
Well, before I go off on a tangent about the pro’s and con’s of an actual colon cleanse, let’s get back to the weight-loss supplement, super colon cleanse.
The reality is, it seems that the makers of this supplement have simply prepped a gimmicky marketing campaign and are using a fad word, ‘colon cleansing’ , to hype their product. Not a good sign.
What the supplement actually does is, make you poop a lot and get all the bacteria found in your colon out of the body.
However, the side effects from this product can be quite serious:
- Uncomfortable bowel movements
- Serious possibility of dehydration
- Serious possibility of infection
- Serious risk of becoming dependent on product to induce bowel moments (it becomes a crutch for your bowels)
Those are some serious possible side effects! What’s most worrisome is that the manufacturers do not warn you of these possible side effects. If you have nothing to hide and are confident in your product, with all those supposed satisfied customer testimonials, why would you fail to publish on your website the possible side effects from taking your product?
