In the past, it was a common practice for people to undergo cleansing therapies. Every now and then, grandmothers would administer some form of cleaning formula that would loosen your stools for a while and have you feeling light for some weeks. In recent years, we have seen a comeback to this olden practice advertised in the form of body cleanse products.
Total body Cleanse promises people to offer a full body detox that will send your metabolism skyrocketing. But is this practice really healthy?
Total Body Cleanse is advertised as a seven-day detox program which is effective as the first stage in a complete diet plan. The product is said to deep-clean your body including inner organs, such as liver, lungs, lymphatic system, kidneys, skin and blood. These effects are supposed to be triggered by the combination of amino acids, vitamins and other substances. There are three stages in the process:
- Stage One:
Full detoxification by means of using “Deep Liver and Organ Cleanse”.
- Stage Two:
By means of natural acacia fiber, the intestine tract is fully cleansed as fiber binds with residue.
- Stage Three:
By using “Colon Cleanse” the intestine is healthfully cleaned and all toxins are eliminated naturally (or so they say).
Apart from the naturally bilious feeling arising from this vivid description, there is yet another concern that should keep dieters alert. How much cleaning is enough? Under normal circumstances, wouldn’t seven days of colon cleansing be considered a symptom of a disease?
Side Effects of Total Body Cleanse:
There is no way that seven days of toilet-visiting cannot seriously tamper with your health, so it should come as no surprise to learn that most reviewers of this product share long lists of side effects. The most outstanding symptoms include:
- Muscle Weakness
- Severe Kidney Condition
- Abnormal heart rhythm
- Excessive Bleeding
- Irregular menstrual periods
And so the list goes on. Seriously speaking, Total Body Cleanse might as well be called “Total Body Wreck” because that is what any average person might get after a week. Word to the wise: skip the cleansing altogether.
