Phenbuterol, a well-marketed bodybuilding supplement, is produced by the American company Muscle Meds Performance Technologies.
This company claims that their weight-loss supplement is the best of the best, and proudly trumpets the difference maker: A substance called ‘Grains of Paradise’ .
This seems amazing and really catching your attention. However, a quick glance at the ingredient list shows that this product is pretty much identical to many other weigh-loss supplements. So is this ‘Grains of Paradise’ really a miracle drug, or just more snake oil? Let’s find out just how effective (and safe) Phenbuterol really is.
First, let’s have a look at the active ingredients found in Phenbuterol:
- Caffeine Anhydrous
- Yerba Mate Extract
- Advantra Z
- Grains of Paradise (also known as alframomum melegueta)
- Rauwolfia Serpentina Extract
Well, other than the fact that the manufacturers make their explanation of how this supplement actually works to burn fat from your body, and why Grains of Paradise is so special (a common scamming ploy- confuse the consumer with scientific gobble-gook, there are no published results from clinical studies proving the effectiveness of neither Grains of Paradise nor Phenbuterol.
What’s more, most non-prescription supplements that use ‘phen’ in their name are just piggy-backing off well-known effective prescription-strength drugs(!).
In addition, it must be pointed at that the substance Yohimbe has been connected with heart attacks and seizures.
Synephrine is also known to enhance the effects of stimulants, which means that it is quite possible that you will suffer from the typical side effects brought on by large quantities of caffeine and/or other stimulants.
What side effects might you feel?
- Increased risk of stroke and seizure
- Increased blood pressure
- Increased heart rate
- Stomach cramps
- Irritation of the stomach, intestine and urinary system
Did you notice that long list of side effects? Doesn’t exactly make you want to jump online and buy this weigh-loss supplement from Muscle Meds Performance Technologies, does it? Trust me, with that many side effects, plus the fact that it contains an ingredient linked to heart attacks and seizures(!), I’m pretty sure Phenbuterol is NOT the right supplement for you.
